Money Let's See...

Money is not an object for me. But if it is entitled to me with my performance, i will definitely take money into consideration. There is the Hip-Hop song by Puff Daddy called "Victory". And that song tells me that nobody can tell me that I'm a loser. Money can be something that i can be able to use in the future, but it is not an immediate thing. It is fun to have a little change in your pocket, and if you are doing what i am doing it's about both fun and money. As i always say "Money isn't everything", that is all too true. I would still pursue my passion even if money were no object. It's better to have fun doing your own thing, instead of being greedy and doing it only for the money.

Pirates Of The Caribbean

As I may have said in one of my blogs, one of the songs that I am dancing to is Pirates of the Caribbean. Originally, it's a movie made by Disney. A beat making group called J-Squad used a part of one of the songs from the movie. If you would like to listen to it I believe it's on a website named Krump Style. The movies are about a pirate named Jack Sparrow, who goes around the world looking for a crew to pay a debt to Davy Jones. In the end he avoids the locker of Davy Jones. He makes it out, beats Jones and the movie is over.

Comparison.....

As it says in one of the articles that I have read, Krump Dancing was invented in 1992. As a result of the Watts Riots in 1962, and the Rodney King riots in 1991-92, Krump dancing was invented. It started in South California or as we all call it "South Central". The evolution came after a few years. By 1998 the Krump Kings were formed by Two Krumpers name Big Mijo and Tight Eyez. One of those two were part of Tommy the Clown, the inventor of "Clowning" or Clown Dancing.

Krump Stands for:

K-Kingdom

R-Radically

U-Uplifted

M-Mighty

P-Praise

There is practically more creativity with Clowning. But with Krump, it's all about heart, stamina and possibility. That is why I want to be a dancer to relive history and to make my family proud. Tommy the Clown is one of my inspiratons because he started Clowning on the side of a street with a bucket next to him. And now he has his own dancing academy in California. Now he is in battles around the world. I can do the same thing as far as battles is concerned. I will emulate him by trying my own thing with the crew and it will pull off.

My Passion and My Career

My Passion is dancing but my  career is to be a choreographer. There are a few times where my mother used to put on some music and we used to do some crazy dances. And we used to have a lot of fun with it. I told mom that i like to dance, and she says if i keep trying i can make it anywhere in the world. I am taking that advice to heart. I have been dancing since i was five years old. By the time i was nine i started to break dance. By twelve i started pop n' lock. And when i turned thirteen i started to practice krump dancing. Eventually me and my team are going to go big. And i want to know what is in store for us. Creativity is my key to success along with my crew's of course. The possibility of us getting into apollo is infinte. We CAN and we WILL do this.

My Passion Is...

My passion is dancing. There are a lot of different types of dances. But primarily i would choose is Hip Hop Dance. Trying out for apollo isn't anything for me. If i can dance in a crowded Manhattan street, I can dance in a crowded theater. I have practiced Hip Hop Dancing for years. Six to be exact. I practice different styles each year. I started with popping, then breaking, and now I am learning krump dancing.  I have been practicing krumping for five months. So I know the basics and a lot of tricks. I believe that my dancing career will work out and I may not have to try other professions. But only time will tell.

My Era is Looking Up

If I make it, there may be some competitions that my crew and i may join. Because we are practicing our butts off. Well, my whole neighborhood has my back on this. The coordinator for my yearly block party is trying to put on a show for my crew. What i want to do is start practicing on the weekends. Because before we could go big, we have to think and act big. I never know we may make it, we may not. But just as long as we have fun doing it.

Apollo.... Here I Come!!!!

I made up a dance crew of five people, and eventually we will try out for the Apollo Dance Amateur Night. It's going to take a lot of practice for me to get there, but I know that my crew and I can do it. My Mother and I have already made up something for a previous krump song from Pirates Of The Caribbean and it will eventually become a masterpiece. What I wish would happen was that we would get recognized. Only time will tell that i guess...
